본 방침은 BoxBee Corp.(이하 "개발자")가 제공하는 Android 앱 Korean Learners' Dictionary(이하 "앱")의 개인정보 처리 방식을 설명합니다.

1. 수집하는 개인정보

앱은 사용자를 식별할 수 있는 개인정보를 수집하거나 서버로 전송하지 않으며, 별도의 회원가입이나 로그인을 요구하지 않습니다. 앱은 광고 SDK, 분석 도구, 추적 식별자를 포함하지 않습니다.

2. 기기 내에만 저장되는 데이터

• 단어장·메모·설정: 사용자가 저장한 단어, 별점, 메모, 앱 설정은 기기 내부 저장소(로컬 데이터베이스)에만 저장되며 외부로 전송되지 않습니다. 앱을 삭제하면 함께 삭제됩니다.

3. 검색 기능과 제3자 서비스

앱의 검색 기능은 다음과 같이 동작하며, 이 과정에서 사용자가 입력한 검색어 또는 필기 획이 해당 서비스로 전달될 수 있습니다. 이는 검색 결과 제공을 위한 최소한의 처리이며, 개인 식별 정보는 포함되지 않습니다.

• 필기 인식: 화면에 그린 획의 좌표가 Google 입력 도구(Google Input Tools) API로 전송되어 후보 글자로 변환됩니다. 이미지나 개인정보는 전송되지 않습니다.
• 사전 검색 결과: 앱 내 웹뷰(WebView)가 사용자가 선택한 외부 사전 사이트(예: 국립국어원 한국어기초사전, 네이버·다음 사전 등)에 검색어를 담아 페이지를 불러옵니다. 해당 사이트의 개인정보 처리는 각 사이트의 방침을 따릅니다.
• 음성 검색: Android 시스템의 음성 인식 기능을 사용합니다. 음성 처리는 기기/시스템 수준에서 이루어지며 앱은 녹음 데이터를 저장하지 않습니다.
• 이미지 검색(문자 인식): 카메라로 촬영한 이미지의 문자 인식은 기기 내에서(온디바이스) 처리되며, 이미지는 외부로 전송되지 않습니다.

4. 권한 사용

• 카메라: 이미지 검색 시 문자를 촬영·인식하기 위해 사용합니다.
• 마이크: 음성 검색 시 음성을 입력받기 위해 사용합니다.
• 인터넷·네트워크 상태: 사전 사이트 표시 및 필기 인식 요청을 위해 사용합니다.

위 권한으로 취득한 데이터는 해당 기능 수행에만 사용되며 개발자 서버에 저장되지 않습니다.

This policy describes how the Android app Korean Learners' Dictionary ("the app"), provided by BoxBee Corp. ("we"), handles your information.

1. Personal Information We Collect

The app does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information to our servers, and does not require account creation or sign-in. The app contains no advertising SDKs, analytics tools, or tracking identifiers.

2. Data Stored Only on Your Device

• Wordbook, notes, and settings are stored only in your device's local storage and are never transmitted externally. They are deleted when you uninstall the app.

3. Search Features and Third-Party Services

The app's search features work as follows. In this process, the search term or handwriting strokes you enter may be sent to the relevant service solely to return results. No personal identifiers are included.

• Handwriting recognition: Stroke coordinates are sent to the Google Input Tools API to be converted into candidate characters. No images or personal data are sent.
• Dictionary results: An in-app WebView loads the external dictionary site you choose (e.g., the National Institute of Korean Language dictionary, Naver, Daum) with your search term. Those sites handle data under their own policies.
• Voice search: Uses the Android system speech recognizer. Processing happens at the device/system level; the app does not store audio.
• Image search (text recognition): Character recognition of camera images is processed on-device; images are not transmitted externally.

4. Permissions

• Camera: Used to capture and recognize text during image search.
• Microphone: Used to capture speech during voice search.
• Internet / network state: Used to display dictionary sites and send handwriting-recognition requests.

Data obtained via these permissions is used only to perform the corresponding feature and is not stored on our servers.

5. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
